FDA recall hits 100,000+ bottles of acetaminophen sold on Amazon

Responsible attorney: Lou Schwartz, Schwartz & Associates, PC, Atlanta, Georgia. intake@snalawyers.com

The FDA announced a recall covering more than 100,000 bottles of acetaminophen, including roughly 14,640 200-count bottles and 90,456 500-count bottles commonly sold through Amazon, after customer complaints that tablets were discolored. The recall followed FDA review of the discoloration complaints rather than a reported injury event. No adverse health outcomes have been confirmed to date in connection with the recalled lots.

Why it matters. Quality-control recalls of widely sold over-the-counter drugs can generate consumer complaints and potential product-liability inquiries that plaintiff firms track alongside the broader acetaminophen litigation landscape.
